ABC 7 news its the most accurate new in NYC. It is delivered professionally and accurately by a group of great tV Journalists who also have great sense humor.

I get alerts all day and when I click them on to read the story, it NEVER brings me to the story! And don’t bother with the weather, radar never works either. Not sure whose running things.

I get notifications on stories or events, select to open to see the story, and every time the thing I got a notification for is nowhere to be found. The notification opens the app to its homepage and no sign of what I wanted to read about. Not under the My News tab either. Every freaking time.

Slow loading. Also, the CC text does not match the speech. It is also slow just just like the app. Had to delete because some stories are not featured in the app.

Is there a reason why you reports never put the suspects color of their skin in the broadcast. Eyewitnesses give details about height weight exact color of clothing and clothing types and see them at close range but you won’t put in the report if it’s a white , black Asian or Hispanic or other in the broadcast. Is it not beneficial and not part of your job to give complete details or is it politically incorrect!

I watch Eyewitness news all the time. Love it

App used to work great until about 3 days ago. Now it constantly crashes.

Shame on you for allowing/promoting such an obvious & despicable display of anything but objective journalism during the debate. I will NEVER watch ABC again - does not exist in my world. Shame on you!!!👎

Channel 7 news only reports far left media coverage. If they don’t report it doesn’t exist

I think the eyewitness news app is one of the worst! Each story is listed so many times,I don’t like navigating it, and based on the looks of it. It looks like a child designed it.

If you’re like me you have to go out of your way to take the time to provide a bad review. Yet here we are. One star for this app. Can you say ads? This is ridiculous. I want to catch the news or weather on the fly and I’m burning bandwidth and data watching ad after ad after ad…and sometimes the same ad repeats two or three times in a row! Stop with the inane ads.

Some information is incorrect, not being updated

Latest update seems to have broken the app when using Picture in Picture. The ads always stop at the end, and the play button just replays the ad but the news never comes back on at the end. I get that this update was to get rid of the no ads work around but come on…

Too many annoying ads, too many pop ups, same old stories not updated . Constantly freezes. There was nothing wrong with the prior version of the app. I will be deleting this mess and replacing with other channel.

I trust and respect the staff. Many years ago I met Michelle Charlesworth at North Shore Hospital. I forgot the topic of the story she worked on but she was very pleasant and polite.

Nice to watch the local news on the go but be prepared to watch the same Disney commercials on a constant loop during breaks to the point of going insane.

I identify as a conservative and I want to be clear that the reason I watch ABC7 NY is because I appreciate the honest reporting and most of all, the PROFESSIONALISM of the anchors. Until tonight. Having to watch Bill Ritter giggle his way through a story about who Senator Kennedy is considering as a running mate was extremely disappointing. Jesse Ventura served his constituents well and deserved better from Mr Ritter. Please don’t make me go back to Fox for all my news!

Now I have to scroll through giant pictures to see each article headline instead of seeing a list of headlines. I won’t use this app anymore. I want to READ, not look at pictures.

Stop making your app so bad!!! The last update is just awful, fonts are huge, everything just looks out of place. Horrible to scroll thru. Please fire your app designer and interface designer. Seriously !!!

Update: the app isn’t opening at all. Somethings wrong. I love being able to read the news wherever I am but the app is always crashing when I watch the videos.

The app won’t open on the newest iPhone

The last update 10.38.0, automatically activated subtitles while the app plays. This is HIGHLY distracting for a person who does not use subtitles. I stream the app on my Apple TV. The problem is only with the stand alone app. It is not present on Hulu streaming!!! FYI I checked my tv, Hulu and Apple TV, none of which has subtitles on!!! Can you please fix this problem,

Ever since apple iOS 17.x came out. This app no longer works on 16.9

App does not load

The weather info is days old. It reads “Today” then the next day listed is the actual current day yet those two days have different wearer forecasts. I have deleted it and reloaded the app twice and still the same problem. The formatting is off as well for an iPhone. Quite surprising that these months-old issues have not been fixed.

The app appear to be loading and just shows the ABC7 logo in a blue screen on my cellular phone and it doesn’t load to show me current stories anymore.

Since Nov 7 app update, this app freezes at blue screen and never launches on iPhone . Developer needs to update app! Deleting app and reinstalling no help.

Please address for the iPad version of the app -- it only loads the dark blue screen and the faint ABC logo in the background, never moving beyond that point. Even deleting the app entirely and reloading it from the App Store fails to make a difference. Please escalate this review to the Head of the app team for ABC7NY. Thanks!

This format is the absolute worst streaming news online.

How many typos can a news organization actually miss in the proofreading process?

I used to be a big fan of this app. Not anymore. The new format is a pain. The top actual news stories are buried underneath a bunch of pinned “interest” posts that seem to stay pinned forever. Please go back to the breaking news at the top. Otherwise I’ll just use another news app. This one isn’t worth the time it takes to find a single news story that isn’t stale. In fact, the old app would tell me when I’d seen all of the days’ recent news. Now it’s just a random list of old stories.

I was constantly on the app reading the news and looking for the weather but since the update and the new layout I find it harder to navigate. I miss the old layout. Please consider going back to it. I won’t be using the wabc app anymore.

The recent update has caused the loss of local flavor, in my opinion. New and important? Not so much.

I want to see weather, traffic & then what’s happening in the City & surrounding area’s This new app has so much content you can’t find traffic conditions

Very confusing..jumps constantly..

Since updating to new version, all I see is a blue screen with a faint logo in the center. Tried downloading again with same results. Will need to get my local news elsewhere at this point. Disappointed.

This app was great. It was a reliable source of news. Then someone decided to change everything last week. It’s not even worth my time.

App crashes/shuts down while reading articles

Totally dislike this app, it’s has only ABCs selected news. The old version gave you more viewing options and choices.

The abc app was never really good but it was passable until the recent June 2023 update and now it is almost impossible to use. They changed the format so that the user is supposedly tempted into watching the little news video they embed with each article and the page is now so cluttered up with videos and ads that the whole experience has turned to rubbish. It’s impossible to use. Which is a shame since it used to have rather decent local coverage.

The new layout of your app is OK , I would appreciate if you were able to do full screen like the previous app that I had from ABC. One thing I will say, I do like the larger video oversight of it, not like the previous one where you had a small little window, and clicking on it, could be troublesome on occasion. Hopefully people read these and they can fix the certain issues with the app.
